BSc (Hons) Project Management with Foundation Year
This Project Management with Foundation Year course equips students with the essential academic and employability skills needed to succeed in the project management profession. From the outset, the Foundation Year focuses on developing time management, problem-solving, critical thinking, communication, and an understanding of leadership and project management fundamentals.
The first year of the degree explores core project management concepts and business principles. Students will gain an understanding of project life cycles, management theories, data analysis, statistics, and decision-making tools. Introduction to industry-relevant software also ensures practical, hands-on learning.
At Level 5, the focus shifts to advanced project management competencies. Students will explore performance and quality management, project planning and control, and the principles of managing sustainable and efficient projects. Research methods tailored to project management are also introduced to build analytical confidence.
In the final year, students will study advanced topics including risk management, global project management, and managing innovation and change. These modules are designed to prepare graduates for leadership roles and global responsibilities. The course culminates in a final project, allowing students to apply the full range of project management skills in a practical, real-world context.
